How I Think and Operate
I tend to approach things in a certain way. This is not about being right, it is just how I make decisions and evaluate the world around me.
I value truth over comfort
I care more about what is actually true than what feels good or sounds nice.
I will question narratives, even when they are widely accepted. I am not interested in going along with something just because it is convenient or socially expected.
That means I can be direct. Not because I want to be difficult, but because I prefer clarity over ambiguity.
I focus on outcomes, not effort
Effort by itself does not mean much to me. What matters is whether something works.
I look at results. Did we solve the problem? Did we move forward? If not, then we need to adjust, regardless of how much work went into it.
This applies to myself as well. I do not expect credit for trying, I expect progress.
I think in systems
I rarely look at things in isolation.
I try to understand the structure behind situations: incentives, dependencies, and long term effects. If something keeps failing, I assume the system is wrong, not just the execution.
I prefer fixing root causes over applying temporary patches.
I take ownership
If something matters and I can influence it, I will step in.
I do not rely on roles or titles to decide whether I should act. If I see a gap, I tend to fill it.
This also means I take responsibility for outcomes, not just my part in the process.
I communicate directly
I tend to say what I think, in a straightforward way.
I am not trying to offend, but I also do not optimize for politeness when it conflicts with clarity. I assume that being clear is more useful than being vague.
If something does not make sense to me, I will say it.
I respect competence
I value people who can actually do things.
Skill, reliability, and the ability to execute matter more to me than titles or how something is presented. I trust people who consistently deliver.
I have limited patience for performative behavior without substance.
I am skeptical, but open
I am interested in new ideas, but I do not accept them blindly.
I prefer to test, validate, and understand before committing. Trends and hype do not convince me on their own.
If something works, I will adopt it. If not, I move on.
I look for leverage
I try to avoid doing things the hard way if there is a smarter way.
I think in terms of systems, tools, and positioning. The goal is not to work more, but to work more effectively.
I dislike inefficiency more than I dislike effort.
What this means in practice
- I can come across as blunt
- I will challenge ideas, including my own
- I care about getting to the right answer, not protecting egos
- I take responsibility, sometimes more than expected
- I prefer working with people who value clarity, ownership, and competence
In short
I try to align with reality, focus on what works, take ownership of outcomes, and avoid unnecessary complexity or bullshit.
